The live industry vet will maintain his role as Frontier Touring CEO
AEG Presents has appointed live industry veteran Dion Brant as the President and CEO of AEG Presents Asia Pacific, effective immediately.
The role:
As per the official statement, Brant will spearhead AEG Presents’ growth and development throughout Asia, while strengthening the company’s footprint and strategic direction across the wider Asia Pacific region.
He will be based in Melbourne, and will report to Adam Wilkes, President and CEO of AEG Presents Europe and Asia Pacific.
He will continue in his current role as CEO of Frontier Touring and serve on Frontier’s Board of Directors.
Background:
Brant worked at Australian ticketing company Ticketek before Mushroom Group recruited him in 2013 to head up strategy and development across the company.
He worked closely with Mushroom Group and Frontier founder Michael Gudinski and played a key role in negotiating the 2019 partnership between Frontier Touring and AEG Presents.
Upon Gudinski’s passing in March 2021, AEG Presents took a controlling interest in Frontier and Brant was named CEO.
What they said:
Dion Brant: “Our incredibly talented group at Frontier gives me the ability to split my time and take on this extra responsibility with the confidence that we’ll continue to lead the Australia and New Zealand markets.”
“This further opens opportunities for us to bring the Frontier Touring and Asia Pacific businesses closer together, sharing insights, building capabilities, and enhancing our offering for artists across the region.”
