Deezer will soon allow users to remove fully AI-generated music completely from their streaming experience.
How it works:
An on/off toggle button will be available before the end of 2026, allowing users to exclude AI-generated content as they search for music.
When activated, AI-generated tracks, albums, and related artists will not be included in search results.
The toggle can be deactivated to regain access.
Why it matters:
The feature is designed to put the focus on discovering human creators.
A Deezer/Ipsos study from November 2025 revealed that 45% of music streaming users would like to filter out 100% AI-generated music from their streaming platform.
The Paris-headquartered platform currently receives 90,000 fully AI-generated tracks every day.
What they said:
Alexis Lanternier, CEO, Deezer: “We’ve seen a clear user demand for the ability to filter out AI-generated music, and we are now giving everyone the option to remove this content completely from their streaming experience on Deezer, and focus only on human creators and creations, if they wish.”
