David Byrne’s 2025/2026 World Tour To Be Immortalized on 70mm Film

Select dates from David Byrne’s 2025/2026 ‘Who Is the Sky?’ world tour have been recorded for a concert film directed by Brady Corbet, who helmed the Academy Award-winning movie The Brutalist.

The details:

• Corbet shot on 70mm film, capturing multiple performances at the Hippodrome in Byrne’s hometown of Baltimore.

• The show is built around an ensemble of 13 musicians, singers, and dancers, in constant motion across the stage, performing a set that spans Talking Heads classics up to Byrne’s latest album, Who Is the Sky?.

• The film is currently in postproduction, with distribution and release details to be announced.

Previous form:

• Byrne is responsible for two of music’s most memorable concert films: 1984’s Stop Making Sense, directed by Jonathan Demme, and 2020’s David Byrne’s American Utopia, directed by Spike Lee.
