Darnell Strom Appointed Head of UTA’s UK Office
The mission is “to evolve London into a major international hub for the company”
United Talent Agency (UTA) has announced that Darnell Strom will head up its UK operations, overseeing its growth across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
New territory:
UTA launched in London in 2023 after acquiring talent and literary agency Curtis Brown, the ROOF Football Agency and consultancy firm MediaLink.
The role:
Strom joined UTA in 2019 and was previously the Head of the Culture & Commerce division.
He will relocate from Los Angeles to London for his new role.
UTA says his responsibilities will include strengthening “integration and connectivity across UTA’s European operations, unlocking new business opportunities, and driving growth throughout the region.”
He will work closely with UTA’s London teams across music, creators, brand marketing, comedy, production arts and advisory services, while collaborating with Curtis Brown and ROOF Football Agency.
Strom’s current client list includes Michaela Coel, Malala Yousafzai, Grace Wales Bonner, Jon Batiste, Industry creators Mickey Down and Konrad Kay, Karlie Kloss, Whitney Wolfe Herd and more.
Work history:
Prior to UTA Strom was an agent at CAA, working across television, speaking, books, motion pictures, technology, podcasts, and digital.
He has a background in politics and was once the Deputy Director of Scheduling to former President Bill Clinton, before serving on President Barack Obama’s White House Entertainment Council.
