Beatport Names Matt Gralen CEO, Robb McDaniels Becomes Executive Chairman

Helen Sartory moves to President and COO

Beatport, the world’s largest online destination for DJs and electronic dance music, has announced a series of key leadership changes.

The details:

  • From July 1, 2026, current CEO Robb McDaniels will leave the post after nine years and transition into the role of Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors.

  • Current President and Chief Financial Officer Matt Gralen will move into the CEO role.

  • Helen Sartory, currently Beatport’s Chief Revenue Officer, will be promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer.

Backstories:

  • After joining the company in 2017, McDaniels – the former Ingrooves Music Group Founder and CEO – led Beatport’s turnaround after the bankruptcy of its former parent company, SFX Entertainment.

  • It now claims to serve one million unique customers annually.

  • Gralen and Sartory joined Beatport in 2022, with the former steering the company’s strategy and operations, and the latter overseeing Beatport’s product portfolio.
