Avex Music Group Reveals New Leaders, Opens NYC Office
The moves are part of a major US expansion
Avex Music Group (AMG), the US division of Japanese music giant Avex Inc., has announced a “sweeping expansion” of its leadership team.
The new additions:
Zeke Silvera has been named SVP, Head of East Coast Operations and Head of A&R.
He will focus on artist development, studio and marketing strategy. Following Avex’s acquisition of S10 Publishing earlier this year he will also lead S10’s producer and writer management functions from AMG’s New York base.
Spencer LeBoff has been named SVP, Head of West Coast Operations and Publishing & Acquisitions.
He will oversee West Coast operations from AMG’s new HQ in West Hollywood.
Megan Timko is Head of Operations for AMG and S10, ensuring “excellence in day-to-day execution and infrastructure as the company scales internationally.”
Jessica Roxana and Claudia Schumann will oversee marketing for AVEX and S10.
Longtime Justin Bieber A&R Tay James and former Head of A&R at Republic Records Miles Beard are joining AMG’s publishing division as Senior A&R Consultants.
Rory Server has been promoted to Chief of Staff.
These new appointments join the current leaders at AMG, including Justin Hunter (Vice President, Corporate), Nevin Sanitsky (Director, A&R, Publishing Division), Ryan Kamada (Chief Financial Officer, Corporate), Brennen Bryant (Senior Director, A&R, Publishing Division), and Hajime Hirada (Senior Manager, A&R International, Publishing Division).
Backstory:
Avex USA launched in 2022 as a US label owned by Japanese entertainment giant Avex Inc.
Earlier this year it acquired 100% of S10 Publishing’s catalog and took an additional stake in S10 Management.
Following these moves S10 Founder Brandon Silverstein became CEO of the renamed Avex Music Group, succeeding Naoki Osada.
Osada has since launched Nebula17.
What they said:
Brandon Silverstein: “As we continue to expand our operations in the US and globally, this team will be instrumental in advancing our mission to sign and develop the world’s most successful songwriters, producers, and artists, while growing Avex and S10’s influence on a truly global scale. While we’re leading from the US, our focus is international – building a world-class roster, expanding into key markets around the world, and pursuing strategic partnerships and acquisitions that will further strengthen our creative ecosystem.”
