Alta Music Group, the Los Angeles-headquartered company founded by former Spotify Global Head of Music Jeremy Erlich, has launched a music publishing division, Alta Publishing. Alta now encompasses recorded music, music publishing, and artist management.
The new division:
Alta Publishing will be led by Zeb Berg as Head of Publishing.
Berg previously served as Head of Producers and Songwriters at Electric Feel.
There he was credited with publishing “Redrum” by 21 Savage and “Timeless” by The Weeknd & Playboi Carti, and signing AyoPeeb and Twisco.
Alta says he also played a key role in the creation of BLACKPINK’s 2025 hit “Jump.”
Sony Music Publishing will support and administer Alta Publishing worldwide.
The first signing:
Alta Publishing launches with the signing of producer-songwriter Elise Eriksen, and Finnish singer-songwriter Alma, who has co-written for Miley Cyrus and Charli xcx.
Alma joins through the company’s new creative venture with Evan Baker’s Silqscreen.
Alta and Silqscreen will jointly sign and develop songwriters and producers through the agreement, which will be led by Silqscreen’s Emmett Power and Berg.
What they said:
Jeremy Erlich: “I'm excited to launch our publishing company under Zeb's leadership so we can work with the best songwriters and producers in the world starting off with Alma and Elise. I'm thrilled to work with Jon, Katie and their team at Sony Music Publishing and Evan and his team to build Alta Publishing.”
