Alex Duncan Named CTO of UK Radio Powerhouse Global
She will oversee the company’s 200-strong tech team
Global, the UK and Europe’s “largest radio and outdoor company,” has appointed Alex Duncan as its new Chief Technology Officer.
The role:
Duncan will join Global on September 1, becoming a member of the board and reporting directly to Group CEO Simon Pitts.
She will oversee Global’s 200-strong technology team across broadcast engineering, commercial and ad tech, cyber security, data infrastructure and analytics and enterprise systems.
Global is home to broadcast media brands such as Heart, Capital, LBC, Capital XTRA, Capital Dance, Classic FM, Smooth, Radio X and Gold Radio.
Work history:
Duncan comes from the British Heart Foundation, where as CTO she oversaw a team of more than 350 with a focus on how AI can enhance the charity’s impact and mission.
Prior she was the CTO of Ambassador Theatre Group and Director of IT at international shopping channel QVC.
