Alex Black Appointed Vice President, A&R, at peermusic

Alex Black has been appointed Vice President, A&R at independent music publishing and neighboring rights company peermusic.

The role:

• Black will sign and develop peermusic’s roster of songwriters and producers in the US.

• He will be based out of the Los Angeles office, and will report to Jamie Cerreta, President of peermusic US and Canada.

Backstory:

• Over the past 18 years Black has served in roles including Vice President, A&R for Hipgnosis Songs Group (and, prior to that, Big Deal Music Group); Director, A&R, Warner Records; and Manager, A&R for Interscope Records.

• He also runs his own management company, Home Run Management, whose clients include cktrl, Banshee The Great, and Eli Keszler.
