A2IM Names Lisa Hresko COO and President of the Foundation of Independent Music

The American Association of Independent Music (A2IM), a leading organization supporting independent artists and labels, has appointed Lisa Hresko as its new Chief Operating Officer. Hresko will also be the first President of the Foundation of Independent Music, a sister organization established by A2IM that works with recording rights owners.

Background:

• Hresko has been with A2IM since 2017.

• She helped launch the Foundation of Independent Music.

• She was central to developing A2IM’s Star Certification, a sales certification designed for the independent music sector.

• A2IM was given the President’s “E” Star Award in 2024 from the International Trade Administration due to Hresko’s strategy for expanding American independent music into new global markets.

• She supervises A2IM’s Indie Week, which has become the largest conference for independent labels in the world.
