rightsHUB Launches New Tool to Optimize Metadata Collection
Also announces Artist Theory deal
Music rights data and asset management platform rightsHUB has unveiled its rightsDROP tool for labels and publishers.
What it does:
rightsDROP enables labels and publishers to create and issue fully customizable templates for artists, writers and managers to submit metadata and assets for new releases.
rightsHUB now provides a totally end-to-end solution for rightsholders to manage the flow of rights data and assets from collection to delivery.
It maintains a single point of data entry and provides a central location for storing releases, assets and contract data, facilitating remote collaboration and minimizing the risk of manual errors.
rightsDROP is available to all rightsHUB clients.
Other news:
rightsHUB has signed a new deal with Artist Theory, the independent label launched in 2024 by former Parlophone execs Nick Burgess and Jack Melhuish.
Its roster includes Sam Ryder, H.LLS and Emily Jeffri.
rightsHUB also recently extended its partnerships with Believe, Sentric, The Circuit Group, Sahara Music Group and Defected Records.
Other rightsHUB clients include Altra Moda, Future Classic, Unified Music Group and more.
What they said:
Oscar Tremain, rightsHUB VP of Product & Client Relations: “rightsHUB exists to make the lives of rightsholders as easy as possible. As part of this, we always take the time to ask our labels and publishers what remains a headache or roadblock within their operations. Time and time again we received the feedback that their teams are bogged down with chasing up artists and managers for pieces of data and content files across multiple channels, with no set process between all parties. rightsDROP finally addresses a common industry-wide issue and not only gives full control back to the rightsholders to ensure clean, consistent data flows for new releases, tracks and works, but also provides artists, writers and managers with a clear-cut and simplified way of submitting their music and data.”
